European Agency of Chemicals (ECHA)
The agency based in Helsinki is responsible for registration and valuation of chemicals, giving permission to using them and introducing limitations to their application, in order to provide common attitude in the whole European Union. The processes of REACH are to give more information about chemical substances, give safe passage and provide competition of European industry.
While making decision the agency took into consideration the latest technological, scientific and social-economical data. It also gives information about chemicals as well as technological and scientific pieces of advice. Appraising and confirming suggestions that concern doing research the agency reduces animal testing.
On 18th December 2006 The European Union Council accepted unanimously the policy of REACH, which is going to replace soon about 40 various legal acts related to production, sales and application of chemicals. This system introduces a number of new obligations for manufacturers, importers and other users of substance in its own form, preparation and goods.
The regulation came into effect on 1st June 2007.
New European Union legal acts, like the ROHS directive require application of environment-friendly products also in case of fireproof products.
Danish manufacturers have managed to reconcile the need of effective fire protection with ecological requirements.
After many years of research dedicated to fireproof repellent, they finally prepared and patented a product called BURNBLOCK, which apart from its excellent fireproof qualities is 100 per cent non-toxic, ecological and organic product, that is why it does not constitute any hazard for environment! (Certificate of National Enterprise of Hygiene - “The Enterprise of Environmental Toxicology”, The Institiute of Technological Construction - “The Enterprise of Nature Preservation”, Danish Institute of Technology - “Technology of Chemistry and Water” as well as “FDA” - Food and Drug Administration).
Burnblock is flame retardant of a new generation. Being 100% organic, non-toxic and ecological it meets all requirements and most strict norms applied in European Union. Our fire retardant achieved highest fire Euroclass “B” for wood and very good results at SBI tests which was approved by corresponding certificate. It also achieved highest European fire class for carpets, paper and cardboard. Moreover it is totally safe for human health, that is confirmed by “National Enterprise of Hygiene-The Enterprise of Environmental Toxicology” certificate.

BURNBLOCK has been on the market since 2004, and the product has been patented all over the world (PCT/US2006/010125) and is available on sale in Europe and the USA.
It is applied mostly to fireproof impregnation of such materials as: unseasoned wood (wooden elements of construction, furniture, etc.), fabric and textile goods (e.g. polyamide, polyester, cotton) as well as paper and cardboard (paper and cartboard-derivative goods).
We have contact with all the products in our daily life. We use them to build our houses and finishing elements such as: sofas, carpets, curtains, lamps, paper lampshades or decorations, and paper set designs, etc.
Majority of them are objects of our daily use!
Therefore it is so important to protect them, and most of all ourselves and our relatives from fire hazard.
Specificity of the product:
- active substance 15-20%,
- pH 7,2,
- dry quickly,
- there are no contradictions as far as finish drying of impregnated materials is concerned, colourless, consistency of fluid liquid,
- does not dye, does not discolor materials during impregnation,

- very efficient,
- ready to application just after purchase without the need of being heated as other products,
- as BURNBLOCK does not consist of any dangerous chemical substances it is not the subject to the law of transport of such products,
- keep it in a closed container at temperature above 0 degrees of Celsius.
Composition:
- water,
- ingredients of a product decreasing combustibility (all natural),
- natural salt,
- trace quantities of citric acid (as much as in average lemon juice).

Durability of fabric protection – to 5 years if the fabric is not exposed to any process of wearing out (getting worn, mechanical and chemical processes, etc.)
In other case the impregnation must be repeated after one year.
Beside that the product characterizes itself with decreasing corrosive aggressiveness towards steel „PN-87/C 04910” and positive result of research of the influence on durability of wood under pressure „PN-87/C 04907”.
